Cancellation terms

Cancellation Policy – Sri Lanka Hot Air Balloon Experience Guests may cancel their confirmed booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled flight and receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure and no-shows are subject to the supplier's applicable cancellation conditions. Weather-Related Cancellations Hot air balloon flights are strictly weather-dependent. The pilot reserves the right to cancel or postpone a flight when weather or operational conditions are considered unsafe. If the operator cancels a flight due to unsuitable weather conditions, guests will receive a full refund or may request an alternative available flight date. Changes to Bookings Requests to reschedule are subject to availability and supplier confirmation. All bookings are subject to final confirmation by Lagoon Destination Tours and the operating supplier.

Pickup details

Guests will be collected from designated hotels in Dambulla, Sigiriya, Kandalama and Habarana early in the morning, before sunrise. Pickup times generally fall between 4:30 AM and 5:30 AM, depending on hotel location, weather conditions and the scheduled flight departure. The exact pickup time will be reconfirmed by the operator before the flight. Transfers from hotels outside the designated pickup areas may incur additional charges and must be arranged in advance.
